ORGINAL BRANDING

Kenzo is a renowned French fashion brand that was founded in 1970 by Kenzo Takada,
a Japanese designer with a flair for blending his Eastern cultural influences with Western fashion sensibilities.
Takada settled in Paris in 1964 and opened his boutique called “Jungle Jap.”

His innovative designs, characterized by their vibrant colors, mixed prints, and unstructured silhouettes,
challenged the prevailing norms of the Paris fashion establishment and quickly gained popularity.
The Kenzo brand became synonymous with a global, eclectic aesthetic, drawing
inspiration from cultures around the world and encapsulating a joyous and
free-spirited ethos that stood in contrast to the more formal fashion trends of the time.

Throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s, Kenzo’s international success grew, with the brand expanding into menswear,
perfumes, and accessories. After Kenzo Takada retired in 1999, the brand continued to evolve under different creative directors, each
bringing their unique perspective while honoring the brand’s heritage. Nigo, the Japanese designer known for A Bathing Ape,
took the postion as creative director in 2021. Kenzo remains a staple in the luxury fashion scene,
continually reinventing itself while maintaining the original spirit of its founder—celebrating a colorful, vibrant, and inclusive world through its fashion.
